- You get your own panty, and use the full kitchen facilities as required. Often we all can combine cooking as and when it suits. This seems to work brilliantly
Ask yourself these simple questions before you rent a separate home with all its added costs and set up inconvenience.
- Can I find a clean and secure short term rental home in a location I want, and at a price I can afford?
- Will we have to move all my own furniture and belongings into it for the short time we are renting?
- Do I have to set up power, gas, telephone, internet etc under my own name for our short term stay? And if so how easy will this be?
- Are my pets welcome and safe?
- What will my overall costs to find a place, move into it, set it all up, and finally move out again be?
- How easy will it be to simply move into a motel, and at what cost? (this is often by far the most expensive option) – estimated @$120 per night (reduced) 7 nights $840, with no comparison to a private dwelling like the ‘Lodge’
What can I expect to pay at San Dona Lodge for a short term earthquake rebuild, repair stay?
The actual ‘weekly cost’ will be negotiated when you make personal contact with us, but expect the following:
- Ignore the B&B nightly rates (These have no bearing on the Short – Medium stay)
- There are 3 rooms available, or (4 if you’re a larger family group)
- Ensuites, and down your own private wing of the property (View the You Tube Videos via the Web site)
- The rooms are spacious, modern and bright. All 3 rooms are Queens to Super Kings, and one can be broken into two singles for shared children, teenager situation. Ideal for 2 parents, Adults, and up to 3 children – Approx $750 +/- per week all inclusive (remember your insurance company will most probably pay)
- 2 rooms, Select which ever rooms works best – Approx $500 +/- per week all inclusive
- 2-3 rooms, plus your own Camper, Caravan powered and on site (Yes, this does occur from time to time) from $850 +/- per week all inclusive

Your ´hosts´ are a professional, well organised, fun, easy going couple. We do not have children, but do have a well loved spoilt chocolate Labrador, called Simba!
You may find we are away frequently, abroad overseas, within NZ or attending our various interests and social activities.
